West Ham reportedly sound out Walter Mazzarri
West Ham have reportedly sounded out Walter Mazzarri to replace Slaven Bilic as the club’s manager.
It’s claimed by Italian news outlet TMW, as cited by talkSPORT, that the Hammers have made contact with the ex-Napoli chief following the club’s defeat to Brighton on Friday night.
West Ham have suffered another poor start to the season under Bilic, only worsened by their 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Seagulls in front of the London Stadium faithful.
Mazzarri was relieved of his duties at Watford following a hugely underwhelming maiden season in English football. The Hornets finished in 17th place, and the Italian boss was sacked following concerns over his ability to liaise with the players, along with some worrying displays on the pitch.
Various outlets have claimed that Bilic is still being given the opportunity to salvage his career at West Ham, and the upcoming games against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup and Crystal Palace in the Premier League could prove vital.
