Free agent Bacary Sagna appears to be closing in on a move to the Premier League, with his next destination expected to be either West Ham or Leicester City.
According to leading French news outlet L’Equipe, as cited by GFFN, the experienced defender is poised to secure his stay in England by putting pen to paper on a short-term deal with a top flight side.
Although the report itself doesn’t specify which side Sagna is signing for, the general consensus in France is that it will be either West Ham or Leicester.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the former Arsenal defender for some time now, following his release from Manchester City at the end of last season.
West Ham have, however, already landed a right-back. They signed Pablo Zabaleta who had also been released by Pep Guardiola.
Leicester could also be keen to upgrade on Danny Simpson as their starting right-back, with Premier League new boys Brighton having already had an offer rejected by Sagna, according to L’Equipe.
