West Ham reportedly keen on Taider
West Ham are reportedly keen to sign Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider.
According to a report from Gazzamercato, as cited by Football Italia today, the Hammers are joined by Watford in the race to land the Algerian international this month.
Taider was impressive in Serie A last season and has subsequently attracted interest from clubs across the continent, given his performances.
Bologna landed the midfielder for just €4m, and could be tempted by selling him to a Premier League side for a profit this summer.
Taider, formerly of Inter Milan, spent a brief spell on loan at Southampton in 2014. However, his tenure on English soil was cut short after he expressed his frustration at the lack of game time, just a few games into the season.
The Hammers are interested in signing William Carvalho from Sporting CP this summer, and links with Taider further indicate that they are keen to land a new central midfielder in the near future.
