West Ham are in desperate need of pace in the attacking third and Slaven Bilic has made it his mission to add it to his squad this summer.

According to the London Evening Standard, West Ham are poised to complete the signing of Adama Traore from Middlesbrough in an £8m deal.

David Sullivan has held talks with the 21-year-old winger today about a move and the transfer could be finalised in the near future, pending a medical.

Traore came through the La Masia academy at Barcelona but failed to break into the first team and joined Aston Villa in a £8m deal in the summer of 2015.

Following their relegation, he joined Middlesbrough at the start of last season for a similar fee and flashed potential but he’s by far the finished product.

Boro, also now of the Championship, are ready to part ways with him for just £8m and West Ham seem to be on the verge of completing the deal.
