Club’s joint-owner David Sullivan and son Dave will be housing the hero of Manchester attack, Steve a homeless man sleeping near to Manchester Arena who rushed to the aid of several victims in the horrific incident that killed 22 people.
His selfless act of humanity was acknowledged by the Sullivans, with Dave taking to social media and saying that he and his father wanted to offer him a home and pay his rent for six months. Sullivan told whufc.com:
Dave and myself were both hugely impressed by the bravery shown by Steve, the emergency services and all those who rushed to the aid of those affected by the Manchester attack.
Dave had taken to his Twitter and asked for people to report him so that he and his father could in touch with him, and hours later Steve was found and the duo are now working on a plan to fund his rent and give him new clothes and help him find work in the future.
