West Ham keen to load Andre Gray deal up in instalments
Adding pace to the attack remains Slaven Bilic’s biggest desire heading into the summer transfer window and Burnley’s Andre Gray is someone he and the club are looking at.
The former Brentford striker netted nine goals in 32 Premier League appearances this season as the Tykes once again secured their status in the top flight for another season.
Gray has been on the radar of Tottenham also of late but Newcastle are believed to be leading the race for the £12m-rated striker.
West Ham are believed to be willing in striking a £12m deal with Burnley for their star striker, but the Northern Echo claims that comes with a caveat.
The report claims that the Hammers would only like to offer part of that figure up front, and load the deal with staggered instalments and add-ons which sees it rise to £12m eventually, whereas Newcastle are ready to meet his asking price in full.
With his contract expiring next summer, Burnley are under pressure to cash-in on Gray during the summer transfer window if they can’t agree terms to an extension.
