Well, here we are. The final game of the 2016/17 season.
West Ham have really failed to live up to their own expectations this season and will look to move on swiftly over the summer and build again towards next season.
Slaven Bilic’s side have endured very streaky form and will find themselves in amongst the mid-table places come Sunday evening – not where the hoped to be back in August but, considering what’s happened this season, isn’t the worst return.
With injuries mounting, Bilic may rest a number of players coming into this one, handing opportunities to a couple of fringe or developmental players.
Hopefully, West Ham can end the season on a high note. Here is our predicted West Ham XI.
Adrian
Now contracted for the next two seasons, Adrian will look to further cement his place in the side.
Sam Byram
Byram has improved in recent weeks and will hope to build on that next season.
Jose Fonte
Fonte will hope to end his season on a high-note after a poor showing last week.
James Collins
Collins could be off in the summer and this may be his last appearance.
Declan Rice
With Reid out, Rice is tipped to make his first ever Premier League start.
Aaron Cresswell
Cresswell will come in at left wing-back.
Edimilson Fernandes
Fernandes will continue his run of games in central midfield.
Mark Noble
Noble will add that experience to the side.
Manuel Lanzini
Lanzini will be the man to create things in the final third.
Andre Ayew
Ayew will be playing just off the striker.
Ashley Fletcher
Fletcher gets a rare start up front with nothing to play for.
