Hammers dealt blow in Hasan Ali Kaldirim chase
West Ham have been dealt a blow to their summer transfer business as target Hasan Ali Kaldirim has claimed he wants to stay put this summer.
According to TalkSport, West Ham have been interested in Ali Kaldirim ahead of a move for him when the summer transfer window opens.
However, a move looks unlikely now, with the defender saying that he wants to stay at Fenerbahce for many more years.
His contract expires at the end of the season but is confident that the situation will be resolved soon and that he will sign a new deal with the club.
This is despite West Ham and Celtic both set to offer him a route to Britain when the time comes around.
The 27-year-old said this about his future and a possible move away:
My contract is not a problem. I want to stay at Fenerbahce for many more years. We’ll talk with the board at the end of the season. I am confident we’ll find an agreement. I am relaxed about the situation.”
“It’s normal that I’ve been receiving offers from other clubs because I am playing for Turkey’s biggest club.”
“But none of these offers matters to me right now. I am only focused on my team.”
Slaven Bilic is a fan of Ali Kaldirim, having managed against him when he was in Turkey before moving to West Ham.
