Jermain Defoe

The veteran striker made his name at West Ham before jumping ship to join Tottenham following our relegation.

Defoe has spoken out about how he regrets that move, and the Hammers have tried hard to resign him in recent times, offering £12m for him in January.

Fortunately, he’ll be able to leave Sunderland on a free transfer when they’re relegated and given his quality and our lack of depth up front, it’s a no-brainer.
