West Ham failed to see out a 2-1 lead at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon as Sunderland clinched a late equaliser.

Slaven Bilic’s men were looking fairly comfortable throughout the course of the match but failed to make the very most of their opportunities, with Fabio Borini scoring a late goal off the back of Darren Randolph’s blunder.

Andre Ayew gave the visitors the lead very early on but the Hammers were only ahead for a further 20 minutes, as Wahbi Khazri’s corner managed to find its way over everyone’s heads and into Randolph’s net, making it 1-1.

However, Bilic’s side came out firing and were ahead two minutes after the restart with James Collins scrambling home. Borini then equalised for the Black Cats in the 90th minute, just before Sam Byram was given his marching orders for a second booking.

Here are our match ratings from West Ham’s frustrating away draw.
