West Ham to return for Michy Batshuayi in the summer
Despite having a £31m bid accepted by Marseille for Michy Batshuayi last summer, West Ham lost out to Chelsea for the Belgian who gazumped them with a larger offer and bigger wages.
Batshuayi has endured a rough season in west London, making 16 appearances in the Premier League, all from the bench and limited to just cup action to make his mark from the start.
Antonio Conte doesn’t fully trust the striker to that the striker role while carrying out all the tactical responsibilities that come with it, which has led to his lack of playing time.
The 23-year-old is expected to be available in the summer, under what capacity remains to be seen but Slaven Bilic remains interested in signing Batshuayi according to the Daily Mail.
West Ham will be in the market for a striker and would be keen on taking Batshuayi on a season-long loan if he’s not available for a cut-price fee just a year on from his £33m transfer.
