Hammers eye summer move for Wayne Rooney
West Ham are interested in making a summer move for Wayne Rooney, should the player become available.
As reported by Sky Sports, the London club are open to the idea, and the prospect of remaining in the Premier League may appeal to the forward.
Rooney has struggled to hold down a regular first-team place for United this season, which has seen him be linked with big money moves to the States and the ever growing Chinese Super League.
A move to either the MLS or China would end his international career with England and after being left out of Gareth Southgate’s latest squad, the Three Lions’ skipper could consider a Premier League move.
Everton have also been muted as a possible destination for Rooney, should he remain in the Premier League.
Ronald Koeman has already expressed his desire to bring the player back to Goodison Park, so it appears Rooney will have the pick of the clubs in the summer.
