In the January transfer window, West Ham signed two players, Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass, both of whom are established Premier League players.

Perhaps this has set a new transfer strategy for West Ham.

Instead of trying out luck with players from further afar in Europe, with the likes of Gokhan Tore, Simone Zaza and Havard Nordtveit all failing to impress this season (and let’s not even talk about Jonathan Calleri), bringing in players who have experience at this level can settle in quicker and help the Hammers move from strength to strength.

West Ham’s owners David Gold and David Sullivan will allegedly commit to giving Slaven Bilic a sizeable transfer budget once again and I expect the Hammers to look to sign players from these shores first.

Here we look at five Premier League players I’d like the Hammers to sign.
