West Ham will likely have to go back to the drawing board if they’re intent on bringing in another central midfielder this month.
It was reported by the Daily Mail that West Ham were one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing Olympiakos midfielder Luka Milivojevic before next week’s transfer deadline.
Sunderland were also listed among interested parties while Marco Silva, who worked with the Serbian whilst managing the Greek giants last season was keen on bringing Milivojevic to Hull.

However, all three clubs appear to have been gazumped by Crystal Palace who have struck a £13m deal to sign the holding midfielder, say the Independent.
West Ham did sign Havard Nordtveit in the summer on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach to add some cover in central midfield but Slaven Bilic has used the versatile Norwegian primarily in a defensive role this season, again, leaving them short in midfield.
If West Ham do miss out on Milivojevic then they will have to consider other targets and have been linked with a move for Osmanlispor’s Badou Ndiaye.
