West Ham keen on signing Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart
West Ham and Stoke are being linked with moves for wantaway Lyon midfieldr Lucas Tousart this summer, according to France Football.
The 19-year-old midfielder burst onto the scene in 2015 at Valenciennes where he impressed as a holding midfielder for the Ligue 2 side, making 19 senior appearances before being picked up by Lyon in a £2.2m deal last summer.
However, Tousart has made just one senior appearance for Lyon in the last 12 months and is eager for a fresh start elsewhere to play regular football.
Captain of the French U19 side, Tousart is wanted by several Serie A clubs as well as Premier League duo West Ham and Stoke who are both keen on a permanent transfer for the midfielder.
Under contract until the summer of 2019, the youngster will be allowed by head coach Bruno Genesio to leave on loan to play regular football.
Slaven Bilic has confirmed that the Hammers are eager to bring in another midfielder this summer, especially if Pedro Obiang leaves the club. AC Milan, Fiorentina and Torino have all been linked with moves for the former Sampdoria man of late.
