West Ham meet with Zaza’s agent to close the deal
West Ham are meeting with Simone Zaza’s father and agent today in order to finalise his move from Juventus, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
News broke last night that the Hammers had agreed a deal with Juventus to take Zaza on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy for €28m including bonuses if he makes a certain number of appearances whilst on loan with the club.
For the deal to go through, a contract would need to have already been agreed with the striker. It’s understood a five-year contract worth €3.5m-a-year (roughly double what he earns in Turin) has been agreed with Zaza and his father.
West Ham will meet with Antonio Zaza today to confirm the details of the transfer and will hopefully close the deal in the coming hours.
Zaza was used as Juventus’ fourth-choice striker last season behind the likes of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata, who has recently rejoined Real Madrid, and Zaza was limited to just five starts in Serie A last season, making 19 appearances in total and scoring just five times.
