Hammers seek to add Newcastle defender Daryl Janmaat
In a bid to return to top flight football, Newcastle United full-back Daryl Janmaat is linked with a move to West Ham.
The Dutch defender has been the subject of an enquiry from the Hammers, and the two clubs continue to negotiate the terms of a potential deal.
With Slaven Bilic not overly fond of either of his first choice right backs (Michail Antonio and Sam Byram), he may be keen to secure the signature of the 27-year-old.
Newcastle have reportedly asked for a fee in excess in £10 million; a figure West Ham are dissuaded by.
Janmaat has made 69 appearances for Newcastle since joining from Eredivisie side Feyenoord in 2014. He has also won 27 caps in the orange of the Netherlands and was a part of the 2014 Dutch side that made the semi-finals of the World Cup.
