Inter Milan are believed to be preparing a move for Carlos Bacca should Mauro Icardi leave the club this summer.
Premium Sport, via Football Italia, state that the Colombian striker is Inter’s contingency plan if Icardi leaves for Napoli.
It’s well-known the club are looking to sign a new striker this summer to help fire them above and beyond all previous expectations, and after the rejections of Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette the Hammers have turned their attentions to Carlos Bacca.
For the last month or so, West Ham have been trying to close a deal for the Colombian striker. A fee worth £25.6m has been agreed with AC Milan for the 29-year-old, and a four-year contract offer worth £75,000-a-week plus bonuses has been on the table for some time.

Initially Bacca rejected the offer, stating he was only looking for a move to Champions League club, but when interest from Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, PSG and Napoli dried up he was left with little option but to stay at Milan or join West Ham.
However, having seen West Ham progress further in the Europa League, and his other options cool their interest, Bacca has opened up to the idea of joining West Ham and is now willing to commit to a move.
Unfortunately West Ham were keen on selling Diafra Sakho to West Brom to help finance the move but a failed medical this week saw the Baggies pull the plug on the £16m deal which has for the time being blocked Bacca’s transfer to West Ham.
Now Inter have joined the race for Bacca things have become that little bit more complicated.
