Simone Zaza rejects move to West Ham
West Ham are set to miss out on yet another forward target, with Juventus striker Simone Zaza reportedly rejecting a move to the Olympic Stadium. Zaza found the back of the net on five occasions in 19 appearances in the Italian top tier last season.
The Italian international, who was part of the squad that helped Italy reach the quarter-finals of Euro 2016, is set to leave Turin following the arrival of Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli. The East Londoners first turned their attention towards Zaza last week as a possible alternative to Carlos Bacca.
And according to Inside Futbol, who quote Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Zaza favours a move that will keep him playing his football in Serie A, with AC Milan and Roma said to be the front-runners for his signature. Milan are expected to try and sign Zaza after offloading fellow Irons target Bacca.
Wolfsburg are another side that the 25-year-old has turned down, and it would appear that once again the Hammers will have to look elsewhere for their marquee striker signing.
