West Ham and Arsenal told to pay £40m for Lacazette
West Ham target Alexandre Lacazette has been handed a £40m price tag by Lyon, according to the Mirror.
The report says that Lyon are willing to play ball at £40m. This is despite the French club claiming he wasn’t for sale at any price, as they deem him to be irreplaceable.
West Ham have already had a £32m offer turned down for the striker, with Arsenal also having had a £29m bid recently rejected for the striker.
West Ham have been on the lookout for a striker all summer, having been rejected time and again by a multitude of targets.
Now, they have possibly been priced out of another deal, with the club perhaps unlikely to spend £40m on a striker. The deal becomes even more unlikely considering the competition from Arsenal for his signature.
Having been turned down umpteen times by AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca this summer, the Hammers may now revisit a deal for Alexandre Lacazette know an asking price has been set and the striker has been vocal about his desire to leave the club.
