West Ham have turned their attentions to another AC Milan striker in Luiz Adriano, according to Monday’s Corriere dello Sport, quoted by sources in Italy.
The Hammers are keen on signing a striker this summer and will make a move to sign the Brazilian forward if their efforts to recruit Carlos Bacca end in vein.
Adriano was signed by Milan last summer for £6.8m from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk who have made a habit of signing talented Brazilian players in the last decade or so.
It was largely a disappointing debut season in Italian football for Adriano, scoring just four goals in Serie A and just six total across 29 appearances in all competitions.

The 29-year-old is said to be working hard to convince manager Vincenzo Montella that he’s a worthwhile player to keep in the squad next season but Milan are not ruling out his sale in order to raise funds for future transfers.
West Ham have already tried and failed with a move for M’Baye Niang while Carlos Bacca leaves them hanging, perhaps they’ll have greater success with Brazil international Luiz Adriano.
