West Ham and Chelsea keen on Andre Ayew
West Ham and Chelsea are both believed to be in the running for Swansea forward Andre Ayew, according to Goal.
The 26-year-old joined Swansea last summer on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Marseille and scored 12 goals in 34 Premier League appearances for Swansea in his debut season in English football.
His fine for has caught the eye of both the Hammers and Chelsea who are eager to add to their attacking ranks this summer.
Able to play an a centre-forward or on the left-wing, the Ghanaian offers attractive versatility in the final third and a cutting edge.
West Ham tried and failed with a bid to sign Ayew last summer before he opted to join Swansea but are now looking to pounce with the allure of European football.
It’s believed West Ham are willing to pay £12m for Ayew this summer, and Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin is hopeful of keeping the player at the Liberty Stadium.
“It is incredibly important to keep him. But I can not alone, it is the job of club managers,” he told the BBC.
