West Ham have already brought in five players to the club this summer and their summer recruitment drive is showing no signs of coming to an end.
Striker Toni Martinez joined in a £500k move from Valencia in a deal which could rise to £2.4m depending on performance-based bonuses, while Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore has signed today for the club on a season-long loan with a view to buy next summer.
However, it’s the free agent acquisitions made by the Hammers that have been the real headline-makers this summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach captain Havard Nordtveit has signed a five-year deal with West Ham, turning down offers from Champions League clubs to move to East London.
Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli also rejected interest from bigger, more glamorous clubs to pen a three-year contract with the Hammers, while Portugal U17 international Domingos Quina joins from Chelsea on a free transfer as well.
There are still some major bargains to be had in the open market, and we’ve picked out a handful of names the Hammers should consider to add to their strengthening squad.
