The Hammers have tried and failed to find a striker in the French market so far this summer, having been turned down by former Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi who opted to join Chelsea, as well as Alexandre Lacazette who, for now, remains at Lyon.
The 25-year-old striker joined Toulouse in 2010 and has scored 71 goals and recorded 21 assists in 174 appearances for the club. Ben Yedder has his best season of his career last term finding the net 23 times in 41 appearances in all competitions.
A former France U21 international, Ben Yedder is yet to receive his first full international cap but if he continues his strong form he would likely be in with a shout in the near future.

His goals last season helped Toulouse beat the drop by just one point. He’s also been linked with a move to Tottenham, Leicester, Lyon and Sevilla this summer.
Sevilla were closing in on his signature but a move for the €10m-rated striker was put on hold following Unai Emery’s departure to become the new PSG manager. His replacement, Jorge Sampaoli, is holding off on completing the move while he assesses his squad and his own targets, say GFFN, thus opening the door for other interested clubs to swoop in.
The Hammers are also interested in his Toulouse striker partner Martin Braithwaite, who could be had for £4m.
