West Ham are being linked with a move for young Walsall defender Rico Henry this summer.
The story has been confirmed by club insider ExWHUemployee who revealed in his latest column that the Hammers were keen on a move for the England U19 international – check out The West Ham Way’s scout report on the promising young defender.
After breaking into the Walsall first-team during the 2014/15 season, Henry became a regular starter for the Saddlers this past season, making 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring his first professional goal in the process.
Leeds are also interested in making a £1m move for Henry this summer should they sell left-back Charlie Taylor, but they face competition from Burnley, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham for the teenage prodigy.

Henry was named in the League One PFA Team of the Season at left-back following an impressive campaign and is tipped to become a full England international in the future.
West Ham have loaned out Stephen Hendrie to Blackburn Rovers for the season, leaving just Lewis Page as a viable deputy for Aaron Cresswell who has been an ever-present at left-back following his arrival from Ipswich two years ago.
Rico Henry would be a talented back-up for Cresswell going forward and could offer some rest-bite for the former Tranmere star in the domestic cup competitions as well as in the Europa League.
