West Ham are believed to be closing in on the signing of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca this summer.
Having been turned down by Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette already, the Hammers are extra determined to get a deal for Bacca over the line as soon as they can.
The 29-year-old and his representatives are due to meet with West Ham early next week for contract talks after a £25.7m deal has reportedly been agreed with AC Milan. Bacca found the net 20 times in 42 appearances across all competitions last term.
West Ham have the financial capabilities to meet Bacca’s reported £120,000-a-week demands but, as we know, nothing is ever straight-forward with West Ham when it comes to signings, especially strikers.
Should the unthinkable happen and the Hammers fail to sign Carlos Bacca this summer, we’ve curated a five-man shortlist of alternatives who could fit the bill of the 20-goal striker the Hammers are looking for.
