West Ham believe Lacazette will join PSG
West Ham chiefs believe they will lose out to either French champions Paris Saint-Germain or Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will meet with the representatives of the striker this week in France to discuss personal terms and try and convince him to cross the Channel.
Lyon value Lacazette at £45m and are determined to keep hold of their star striker who has scored 72 goals in 172 games for the Ligue 1 club since 2010, including at least 20 goals in each of the last three seasons.
West Ham have seen three bids already turned down for the 25-year-old forward this summer, the latest worth in the region of £40m.
The East London club remain hopeful they can strike a deal to sign the France international but believe that ultimately the striker will end up signing for Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG have today announced the departure of Laurent Blanc as their manager with Sevilla’s three-time Europa League winning coach Unai Emery set to replace him in Paris.
Emery wants to make a big splash in the transfer market and want Lacazette to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is poised to join Manchester United on a free transfer.
