West Ham target set for Monaco move
Lille’s Djibril Sidibé looks set to reject a move to West Ham after his club reportedly agreed a fee with AS Monaco for the full back.
According to L’Equipe, Lille have agreed on a €15million fee for the Frenchman, after originally rejecting a €12million offer from Monaco.
Sidibe had been linked with a move to the new London Stadium earlier this month. The Club were reportedly willing to give the left back a massive pay raise which could have seen the 23-year-old earn up to £60,000-a-week.
However, it now looks like Sidibe will be moving to the principality of Monaco. He was quoted by Sports Witness as saying that Champions League football would be a major factor in deciding where he would end up, and Monaco’s third-placed finish in Ligue 1 last season will see them enter the competition at the third qualifying round.
West Ham will now have to look to other options to add depth to the right back position, with Sam Byram the only player natural in the position.
