Man City lead chase for West Ham target Coric
West Ham face an extremely difficult challenge ahead if they are to land reported target Ante Coric of Dinamo Zagreb, as interest from their Premier League rivals intensifies.
The Daily Mail say Manchester City now lead the race for Coric and are preparing a £6million bid, though Zagreb are holding out for closer to £10million. Liverpool are willing to match the asking price, while Chelsea and Tottenham have also expressed a desire to sign the 19-year-old Croat.
It is thought that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already met with Coric and his representatives to discuss the possibility of a move to Merseyside, while Chelsea’s scouts have compiled a number of reports recommending the Blues sign him.
Coric managed 41 appearances last season, including seven in the Champions League, scoring four and assisting five in the process. He was also rewarded with a call-up to the Croatian national side and a place in Ante Cacic’s 23-man squad currently at the European Championships in France.
