West Ham have stolen a march on Napoli and Roma in the race to sign Roberto Pereyra from Juventus this summer after launching a €12m bid to sign the attacking midfielder.
According to Italian source Tuttosport, quoted by Webcalcio, West Ham are the first and only club to make a genuine bid to sign the Argentine in this transfer window despite interest from the likes of Napoli, Roma and Zenit St. Petersburg.
Pereyra has also been linked with Watford and Swansea, but one thing’s for sure – he will be leaving Turin this summer.

It’s believed that since signing from Udinese for £10.5m last summer following a season-long loan at the club, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is not convinced by the 25-year-old and will offload him before the start of the new season.
Under contract until 2020, Pereyra would prefer to stay an fight for his future at Juventus, but after making just 16 appearances in all competitions for the club last season he may be forced to consider his future elsewhere.
Napoli and Roma are both keen to keep Pereyra in Italian football but the Hammers lead the chase to sign the attacking midfielder, who can also play on the wing, by making a €12m bid. However, it is understood that Juventus are holding out for nearer €15m.
