West Bromwich Albion could sign West Ham forward Enner Valencia for as little as £6million this summer, according to Birmingham Mail.
The Baggies sent scouts to watch Valencia as Ecuador were beaten 2-1 by the USA in the Copa America quarter-final. The 26-year-old failed to add to his tally of 16 goals for the national team and blew a huge opportunity to equalise with just 14 minutes remaining, heading wide, unmarked, from 10 yards out.
The report only names West Brom’s scouts in attendance, but there are a host of Bundesliga clubs monitoring Valencia’s situation, according to the Daily Mail.
West Ham are looking to recoup as much of the £12million they paid Pachuca in 2014, though Birmingham Mail believe the Hammers could accept as little as £6million for Valencia.
Since arriving at Upton Park, Valencia has netted just ten times in 61 appearances. West Ham fans will be hoping new-boy Sofiane Feghouli will cope with the demands of the Premier League slightly better.
