West Ham striker Diafra Sakho is determined to leave the club this summer having handed in a transfer request amid reports of a possible move to Sunderland.
According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland have made a revised bid of £12m for Sakho after seeing an £11m offer turned down last month.
It’s believed the Hammers had valued the Senegalese international forward at around £15m but now the player has made his intentions known that he wants to leave the club West Ham could be forced to sell for below that figure.
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce was in charge of West Ham when the signed Sakho two years ago for £3.5m from FC Metz where he went on to score 12 goals in his debut season in English football.

However, Sakho’s second season with the club was less successful. He scored just five league goals in an injury hit campaign and also fell out with Slaven Bilic about his playing time, taking to Snapchat to voice his frustrations.
He later apologised to the players and club for his actions but it’s now all but certain that the two parties will go their separate ways this summer.
The Hammers have spent all summer looking for a big-money striker to lead the line next season because of the unreliability of Sakho and the rest of the forwards the club has. They today submitted an increased £32m offer to Lyon for Alexandre Lacazette, which the Ligue 1 club are considering.
