Paris Saint-Germain are in pole position to sign Colombian striker Carlos Bacca, after West Ham failed to agree a transfer fee for the 29-year-old with AC Milan.
However, the Hammers remain locked in talks with Milan, as they are confident of striking a deal to bring French forward M’Baye Niang to East London.
Niang has been shipped out on loan twice – to Montpelier and Genoa – since arriving at the San Siro in 2012, but was recalled to the first-team last season.

When available for selection, the 21-year-old performed well, scoring eight and assisting two in 17 appearances. But Niang’s off-the-field antics, which led to lengthy injuries, have cost him his place in Cristian Brocchi’s squad.
His latest escapade was jumping from a balcony into a swimming pool, just weeks after returning from a three-month injury lay-off.

Amongst the replies of ‘idiot’ and ‘clown’, one AC Milan fan left this response to Niang’s video: ‘You have 3 months off because of an injury, then you do this? Bravo!’ Summing up Niang’s recklessness and the fans’ feelings towards the Caen academy graduate in one sentence.
According to the Daily Mail , Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is ‘furious’ with Niang, who had agreed to no more crazy behaviour after injuring himself in a car crash last February.
A brief statement released by the Italian outfit stated the video ‘didn’t go unnoticed’.

Milan are now keen to offload Niang this summer and West Ham are reportedly prepared to match their asking price – somewhere between €15million-€18million – as per GazzettaWorld.
Niang has previously attracted interest from Newcastle and Leicester, who were both keen on signing the France under-21 international.
