West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their efforts to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi as it’s revealed the club must sell before the end of the month.
Ligue 1 journalist Mohammed Ali has revealed that Marseille recoup at least €40m to cover their financial deficit in order to meet DNCG regulations.
The story comes from French source La Provence, who state that Marseille already accounted for Batshuayi’s departure in their club accounts, meaning they need to agree a deal for him to leave in order to present them by the end of the month.

Tottenham are said to be closing in on the £12m signing of AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen, while Arsenal remain hopeful of concluding a £20m deal for Leicester forward Jamie Vardy this summer.
The Hammers on the other hand are yet to make any real progress in their search for a 20-goal a season striker this summer having seen bids for Alexandre Lacazette and Jamie Vardy fail.

This could mean the Hammers reignite their interest in Batshuayi now the Ligue 1 side must sell by the end of June, but they’ll refuse to budge on their €40m asking price.
Marseille went through a similar phase last summer where they needed to recoup over €30m in fees in order to balance their books, and West Ham again profited with the £10.5m arrival of Dimitri Payet.
