West Ham interested in veteran midfielder
West Ham are considering making a move for veteran Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson as part of a triple raid on the Turkish side, according to Eurosport TR.
The Hammers are said to have already reached an agreement with winger Gokhan Tore and have also expressed an interest in midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup. Now they want to add Canadian defensive midfielder Hutchinson to their list of transfer targets from manager Slaven Bilic’s former side.
Bilic managed the Turkish outfit for two seasons before making the move to East London and believes adding players to the squad whom he knows well will benefit the club.
Hutchinson has represented his country 75 times and his experience is said to be something Bilic desires, as West Ham enter an exciting era with European football on the cards next term.
Hutchinson has just one year remaining on his current deal at the Turkish giants, but the club are believed to want around £8million for him.
The Canadian can play in holding midfield and even at right back, with his versatility possibly key to for the Hammers as they prepare for extra games next season.
He arrived at Besiktas from PSV Eindhoven in 2013 and was a regular under Bilic.
It is understood that the Turkish side would be willing to let him go should be want to reunite with his former boss.
