West Ham set to bid for young midfielder
West Ham are set to launch a £155,000 bid for 17-year-old Nigerian, Agor Chukwudi with a deal very likely, according to All Nigerian Soccer.
ASJ Academy’s CEO, Emeka Amajiriaku has claimed that a deal is likely after the Nigeria U20s international has been attracting interest from the Premier League.
The 17-year-old was part of the Nigerian U-17s side that won the World Cup for that youth level and he is primarily played as a central midfielder. The deal that will bring the midfielder to West Ham will reportedly hold a 10% sell on clause.
Amajiriaku confirmed the club’s intention to accept the deal:
West Ham have offered Agor Chukwudi a straight contract without him having to undergo trials, very soon he’ll turn 18, we are studying the offer and it is very likely we will accept it. We are interested in the player’s development and not the money that is being offered.
As well as trying to secure big names transfers this summer, the Hammers have gone about securing some of the highest rated youngsters and they look to continue in the fashion.
As well as Chukwudi, they have also agreed a deal to sign former Chelsea trialist, Domingos Quina.
