West Ham have opened talks with Argentine side Racing Club over a £9m summer move for highly-rated striker Gustavo Bou.
According to the Daily Star, Slaven Bilic has been given the freedom to go out and sign some quality forward players ahead of next season as the club look to build on what will end up as the club’s best-ever Premier League campaign.

One of the players Bilic has earmarked as a possible signing is 26-year-old striker Gustavo Bou, who has been in fine form this season for Racing Club with three goals and two assists in four games.
His overall record with the club is not to be sniffed at either, with 29 goals in 58 games – a goal every other game – which is better than all of the current forwards contracted at West Ham.
The former River Plate man has yet to be capped by Argentina at international level, but should his form continue he could be in with a shout of a call-up in the next few months.

The Daily Star also note that the Hammers will not be signing Alex Song at the end of the season when his loan expires. The former Arsenal man is surplus to requirements at Barcelona and has spent the last two seasons on loan in East London, but hasn’t done enough to stay on beyond this season.
