West Ham have offered Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic a four-year contract at the club, according to Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to the report, the Hammers have offered the Serbian defender a four-year deal worth roughly £1.6million-a-year as they look to steal a march on Manchester City, Manchester United and Napoli, all of whom are said to be interested in signing him.

The 24-year-old is under contract with Torino until 2020 but West Ham are confident of securing a deal to bring him to East London as the club prepares for their first year playing at the Olympic Stadium.
Torino reportedly want £20million for the defender, a fee which would make him West Ham’s record signing, but the Premier League side are confident that they can get him for cheaper, which they certainly will want to do as they want to have as much money available as possible in order to bring a striker to the club.
