West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is very familiar with the talents of Gokhan Tore after he managed the 24-year-old at Besiktas and he’s now admitted that he wants to bring the Turkish international to East London.

The Hammers look set to begin life at the Olympic Stadium with a season containing European football, so it makes sense for Bilic to want to add depth to his squad, even if the first team doesn’t have any glaring weaknesses.

Tore, who is comfortable playing on both wings, has scored four goals in Turkey’s top flight this season but is currently out injured with an ankle injury.

Normally managers are coy about discussing transfer targets, but as reported by Turkish Football, Bilic was quite happy to admit that he wants to sign the winger.

He said:

Everyone knows how much I like Tore he is an excellent player and I want him at West Ham.

Bilic revealed that West Ham are currently not in talks with the player, but they’ll take heart in the fact that Besiktas are open to selling Tore for the right price.
