West Ham and Tottenham are reportedly set to go head-to-head in an attempt to sign striker Manolo Gabbiadini from Napoli.
According to Italian TV station Sport Mediaset, the Premier League duo are considering matching the reported asking price of €20million to sign him.
Napoli have Gonzalo Higuain, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon as forward options so they could let Gabbiadini leave if the price is right.
Swansea tried to sign the 24-year-old in January and had a bid of €19million rejected by Napoli, but it looks like they may now be willing to let him move elsewhere.
It’s clear to see why Gabbiadini would be open to a move, he’s made 17 appearances in Serie A this season, but only one of those has been has a starter and eight of those substitute appearances have came within the final ten minutes of games.
Gabbiadini has six caps for Italy and if he wants to earn more, he’ll need to be playing more regularly, which he could do at West Ham.
