Arsenal are lining up an £8million move for West Ham youngster Reece Oxford, according to John Cross of The Mirror.
The 17-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or a centre midfielder, was a regular in the West Ham first team during the early part of the season as Slaven Bilic had to shuffle his pack due to injuries and lack of fitness.
Arsenal fans will remember Oxford putting in a very impressive display against them on the opening day of the season, and it appears that they are now looking to bring him to the Emirates to hopefully put in many more top-class displays at the stadium.
According to Cross’ report, Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley is a big fan of Oxford, and he’s recommended that the Gunners try and steal a march on other interested parties, such as Manchester City and Manchester United.
Oxford recently signed a new contract at West Ham, one that runs until 2019, so they are under no pressure to sell the England U17 star.
