Premier League duo Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in signing left-back Aaron Cresswell from West Ham United, according to reports.
Cresswell joined the Hammers in 2014 for a free of around £3.5million, but is now being linked with the two North West powerhouses with a £15million fee being reported as the likely cost to get West Ham to sell.
The 26-year-old has been a mainstay in Slaven Bilic’s team, playing in 19 of West Ham’s 20 Premier League games this season, so it’s unlikely that they’ll want to sell. However, a £15million bid could make them consider cashing in, although with the player being under contract until 2020, they are in no need to do so unless they feel that the deal is too good to turn down.
According to the reports, City are keen on a summer move for Cresswell whilst Liverpool would like to bring him in during the current transfer window if they can, and with the left-back being a scouser, he may prefer a move back to his hometown, although a move to Manchester would guarantee him Champions League football.
