West Ham United have had Mark Noble’s red card rescinded after winning their appeal, according to Sky Sports.
Noble was sent off in West Ham’s 3-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday after Kevin Friend wrongly sent him off for a challenge on Danny Ings.
Friend blew up for a foul before Noble made the tackle, which appeared to be a fair one judging by the replays.
The West Ham stalwart didn’t even believe it to be a yellow card and was baffled by the decision from the referee, who had also sent off Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho earlier in the second half.
After the victory at Anfield, West Ham boss Slaven Bilic was confident the decision would be corrected and the 28-year-old wouldn’t have to serve a three-match suspension.
Noble, who scored the second goal in the Hammers’ demolition of Liverpool, is able to face Newcastle United when the Premier League returns after the international break.
The Irons will be hoping to get their first home points on the board when the Magpies roll up at Upton Park on 14th September.
