AC Milan striker Alessandro Matri has rejected moves to West Ham and Marseille in order to push through a transfer to Lazio.
According to Goal, the Italian international striker is poised to join Lazio on a season-long loan as AC Milan want to offload the player before the transfer deadline.
The 31-year-old striker travelled to London in the week to hold talks with West Ham over a season-long loan move with a view to a permanent deal, and everything was in place.

However, Slaven Bilic stalled on a move in order to see how deals for other players were progressing. Matri took the decision upon himself to pull out of a move due to the delay in order to sort out his future, according to Calciomercato.
Marseille then came in for the striker, but they struggled to agree personal terms with Matri, who’s now flown back to Italy to complete his move to Lazio.
West Ham have now turned their attentions to Hull striker Nikica Jelavic, who looks set to join for a fee in the region of £3m.
