Spanish side Sevilla have made a shock season-long loan bid to sign West Ham striker Andy Carroll.
The crocked striker is currently recovering from a knee ligament suffered back in February away at Southampton and has been out of action ever since.
He’s undergone an intense training schedule over the course of the summer and is expected to be back in action within the next month.
However, reports from the Mirror state that the England international suffered another setback on his road to recovery while putting on his shoes. It’s only considered a ‘minor injury’ and he’s expected to only be out an extra two weeks.
With Carroll still out, it comes as quite the shock that La Liga side Sevilla have made a season-long loan bid to sign him, according to The Times.
With Mauro Zarate and Enner Valencia both sidelined, and Carroll expected back soon, the Hammers acted swiftly to turn down their approach for their record-signing.
Expected to be back after the September international break, Carroll will be like a new signing for the Hammers.
