Ligue 1 side St-Etienne are interested in West Ham attacker Morgan Amalfitano, just days after news broke out that Amalfitano had been banished from the West Ham training ground by Slaven Bilic, according to reports from French journalist Nizar Hanini.

The 30-year-old Frenchman signed on Summer Deadline Day 2014 on a one-year deal and made a number of solid performances, including goals in victories over Liverpool, Manchester City and Hull City. These performances earned him a two-year contract extension. He has also played a couple of times in our short-lived spell in Europe, nearly scoring from 45 yards against FC Lusitans.
However, he has been forced to train with the youth team after clashing with new manager Bilic. He allegedly questioned the Croatian’s authority after Bilic confronted Amalfitano over a missed training session in front of his teammates. He missed the open training session at Upton Park on Tuesday as a result. Bilic also said that the former West Brom star “gave him attitude”.
St-Etienne are in desperate need of a winger after recently selling Max Gradel to Premier League new boys Bournemouth, and may consider the former France international a good option.
