West Ham United are reportedly lining up a shock late swoop for Liverpool forward Fabio Borini, according to The Metro. The Italian has found his playing opportunities limited under Brendan Rodgers at Anfield and is set to move on following the arrivals of Danny Ings and Christian Benteke.
Borini recorded one goal and one assist in just three Premier League starts during the 2014/15 campaign, and spent the season prior to that on loan at Sunderland, in which he found the back of the net on seven occasions. He has one international cap for the Italian national side, and would link up with fellow countryman Angelo Ogbonna if he made the move to Upton Park.
However, despite the 24-year-old potentially boosting the number of attacking options we have at the club, he does not possess a particularly high level of big game experience. Serie A side Fiorentina are said to be close to sealing a deal for the striker, but Slaven Bilic may look to snatch him away from their grasp at the last minute.
