West Ham’s proposed season-long loan signing of Raúl Jiménez appears to be heading through the required administrative channels.
The Hammers’ Youth Supporters Club chairman Jack Sullivan has tweeted that a transfer target has agreed a deal that is contingent on a work permit being agreed, believed to be the Mexican striker:
TRANSFER NEWS -agreement in place with the Club & player. our applicatiuon for a Work permit goes to the FA this week #coyi #irons #whu

Sullivan stressed that he could not mention the player in question:
I can not say which player…sorry

However, the details of seeking a work permit for a signing that the player and club have agreed on are entirely consistent with the news from Saturday that Jiménez and Atletico Madrid had both accepted a season-long loan deal that would send the 24-year-old striker away from the Estadio Vicente Calderon to play at Upton Park in its final season as the home of the Hammers.
Jiménez scored 31 goals in 82 appearances at Mexican side Club America, but following his move to Madrid for just over £7m last season, has scored only one goal in 21 appearances.
