West Ham are considering offering QPR a cash plus player deal to sign striker Charlie Austin this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Such a deal was first reported here as West Ham are desperate to land a proven Premier League striker this summer as they hope to build on a promising league campaign last term.
Austin, who scored 18 league goals for QPR last season as they were relegated to the Championship, certainly fits the description of what we’re looking for, but we’re not willing to meet that £15m asking price.
In return, the club are considering offering a player in a potential deal with QPR for the 25-year-old. Winger Matt Jarvis and midfielder Kevin Nolan are two names being mentioned by both reports above.
Jarvis was a loan target for Rangers in the January transfer window, but they were unable to secure a deal for the one-time England international due to already having forward Mauro Zarate in on loan from the Hammers.
