Di Marzio has now claimed that the Hammers have submitted a new loan bid to sign Mattia Destro from AS Roma. More to follow…
———- UPDATE ———-
AS Roma striker Mattia Destro will choose between signing for AS Monaco and West Ham this summer, reports Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
It was reported earlier this month that the Hammers were lining up a move for the Italian international forward, along with Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
West Ham are keen on signing a new striker this summer, and are in active discussions with four other clubs to sign a striker, but no deals appear close at this stage.
€15m is the asking price for Roma’s Destro, with the Hammers willing to meet those demands, but are being rivalled by the mega-rich AS Monaco.
The 24-year-old will now choose between a move to the French riviera, or a move to East London. Destro doesn’t have a preference and is open to a move to either club, but it will now come down to which club can make the strongest financial offer to the striker in order to secure his services for the foreseeable future.
